This critter actually lives in the ground feeding on the roots of the great Hedex trees on the Islands of Mad. These creatures travel in swarms of 200+ and can consume an entire tree in 20 minutes. You can spot a Hedex tree being fed upon as the ground will roll and froth with their frenzy. They do not usually swarm and lay dormant most of the time. They only swarm once every 150 years the last instance being 78 years ago so we have some time before we have to think about breeding the Ground Lashers to control their population.
